Starting Merkato

Before you start, be sure you have a username and password for Merkato. You will need the URL (web address) of the Merkato portal.

Logging In

Point your browser to the Merkato portal. The opening page looks like the one below:

Enter your username and password and click Login.

(If you need a username and password, contact your customer service representative.)

When you successfully log in, the Express Agent screen appears:

From the Merkato Agent screen you can get to the various other screens that make up the Merkato interface.

Planning For Your Bandwidth Needs

Before you buy bandwidth you should plan your bandwidth needs.

To determine your bandwidth needs you should calculate your data transfer rate. Merkato specifies the rate in Kbps, Mbps, or Gbps. (See "Units Conversion Chart.")
